The details

Requirements & policies

To be eligible for membership, applicants must meet the following:
  • Minimum 2 years in continuous operation as a freight forwarder
  • Valid business license and applicable customs/freight-forwarding registrations in your home country
  • Two verifiable trade or business references
  • No unresolved insolvency, fraud, or regulatory sanctions on record
Applications are submitted through our online form and reviewed in the four stages shown above. Most applications are decided within 5 business days of the reference check completing. If more information is needed, our membership team will contact you directly rather than rejecting the application outright.
The membership committee evaluates applications against financial standing, reference feedback, service capability, and alignment with our code of conduct. Approval is not automatic on meeting minimum requirements — the committee also considers whether the applicant's coverage adds meaningful value to the existing network.
All members agree, in writing, to:
  • Respond to fellow members' enquiries within 24–48 business hours, even if only to acknowledge and give a timeline
  • Honor quoted rates and agreed terms with fellow members, and offer new, reciprocal business to fellow members in preference to non-members where price and service are comparable
  • Communicate professionally, politely, and free from discriminatory, harassing or abusive language — by email, phone, WhatsApp, in-app messaging, or at events
  • Only represent officially registered Network offices — never present an unaffiliated branch or partner company as part of the Network
  • Agree payment terms with fellow members clearly and in writing before starting a shipment, and notify the Network promptly of any payment dispute
  • Not handle, arrange, or facilitate the movement of goods in breach of UK, EU, US or UN sanctions or export control regimes, or open a trading office in a sanctioned jurisdiction without prior written disclosure to the Network
  • Never offer, give, request or accept bribes, kickbacks or improper payments in connection with Network business, in line with the UK Bribery Act 2010
  • Only use the Network logo and "Member of Logistics Global Network" designation while membership is active and in good standing, and treat rates, RFQ details and other non-public information shared through the Network as confidential

Breach of the sanctions/anti-bribery rules above is treated as a serious breach and may result in immediate termination without notice. Other violations are reviewed by the network operator and can result in suspension or removal — see our Complaints & Dispute Resolution Procedure for how this works.

All new members are subject to a 12-month probationary period from acceptance, during which membership can be ended on 14 days' notice if expected standards aren't met — see our Membership Agreement for full terms.

Membership fees are billed annually upon approval and at each renewal date. Fees vary by tier (see Membership Benefits for tier details) and cover directory listing, event access, and support. Invoices are payable within 30 days; unpaid accounts are placed on hold until settled.
Membership renews annually. Renewal includes a light-touch re-verification, confirming your license status and requesting any updated references rather than a full re-application. Members are notified 60 days before their renewal date.

Members are encouraged, and for paid tiers may be required, to attend at least one Network meeting or conference every 12–24 months, as published for their tier. Meeting/event fees, once past the published cancellation cut-off date, are non-refundable, in line with standard industry practice.
